Former Desperate Scousewives star Elissa Corrigan has been revealed as one of the contestants in Bear Grylls latest TV survival show.
The journalist and fitness expert will compete for a £100k prize in Treasure Island with Bear Grylls, due to start on Channel 4 in September.
Elissa, now 33, became a reality TV personality after appearing in the Liverpool-based series back in 2011.
At the time she was best known as a party girl, but she’s since reinvented herself as a health and beauty expert, as well as a ghostwriter for celebrity autobiographies.
She’ll be putting her new super-fitness to the test for Treasure Island, which sees 12 contestants marooned on an island for 35 days and left to find their own food, water and shelter.
They will also have to compete, or team up, to find a cash prize which has been dropped on to the island, knowing that if they head for home early they’ll be going empty-handed.
Elissa will be up against a 75-year-old jam-making great-grandma, a cousin of Prince Philip, a self-employed plumber and a 30-year-old former Royal Marines Commando to see who can make it through the 35 days and go away with the £100,000.
