Within the supplement and health industry today, protein bars are amongst the top-rated products available on shelves. More companies are developing unique, tasty and stylish bars to suit individual needs. The competition is at an all time high, which is fantastic from a consumers perspective as better quality bars are reaching the shelves all year round.
We recently caught up with Chef Daniel Jolley, the owner of an up and coming healthy food business called “Restaurant Ready”.
Chef Daniel has a very extensive background within the industry. He gained experienced working for various Michelin star restaurants such as Northcote (1 star) and The Square (2 star).
Chef Danny moved to Liverpool as a chef for Liverpool Football Club and later became a personal chef for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Loris Karius, where he developed healthy quality food for his athlete clientele.
Danny said “I work with some amazing people who are so focused on their health and nutrition. This encouraged me to develop products that are not only healthy and nutritional but great tasting with minimum calories”.
Danny currently works as a full time chef for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Trent Alexander Arnold and has launched his own health-food business; Restaurant Ready.
“I love my job and whenever I get any spare time I am in the kitchen developing new products to add to the Restaurant Ready collection”.
The new protein bars come in three mouth watering flavours. They include cherry bakewell, dark chocolate raspberry and chocolate peanut butter.
The uniqueness of these bars are how they are made. They are all handmade, hand-pressed and hand glazed with no chemicals or additives. The fruit contained inside the bar is hand dried for the best results and to make the product stay as natural as possible.
The bars are all natural, with a small portion of the product containing milk chocolate for intense flavour. However, the option is available to use vegan chocolate to make it vegan friendly for any plant based lovers. The bars also contain 15g of whey concentrate protein per serving, again with the option to use vegan proteins as an alternative. Perfect as a post workout snack. There are no added sugars in the bars. Instead, Danny uses local honey as the sweetener that he collects from a local allotment.
Danny had the desire to create flavoursome, macronutrient friendly bars for all consumers who seek a rich indulgent snack without the guilt. Popular flavours include; Chocolate brownie, Peanut butter flapjack and Cherry Bakewell.
These high quality bars will be available in Liverpool very soon. In the future Danny is looking at opening up his very own Health kitchen in the Liverpool city centre were these bars will be available daily. Danny has also been shortlisted for “Alternate health & fitness retailer 2019” for the “Fit pro awards” later this year. A fantastic opportunity for individuals in the fitness industry, to learn more about the brand and the quality of products.
Danny also has plans to develop a website very soon, this will allow consumers to purchase different products off his website. In addition to this there will also be a meal prep service provided for individuals wanting to purchase macronutrient tracked meals. Perfect for any fitness enthusiast looking to stay on top on calories daily.
Another great feature is every product produced from Restaurant Ready has a label stating the macronutrient value. Particularly good if consumers are wanting a low calorie meal. Danny has some big plans coming up with this business which is very exciting, especially with Liverpool being a very health conscious city. We highly recommend giving Danny a follow on his journey and definitely picking up one of these protein bars for guilt free snacking.
